ChiccoNextfit Convertible Car Seat Mystique Installation

Newborn:

• Place your infant in this position if the baby weighs between five pounds to eleven pounds.
• Place the newborn seat on the car seat.
• Now, pass the secure harness buckle through the slot located at the bottom of the newborn car seat.
• Next, pass the secure harness straps of the car seat from the side panels of the newborn car seat.
• Securely push the newborn car seat into child restraint for firm positioning.
• Install the convertible car seat in rear-facing.
• Securely recline the seat when newborns are placed.

Rear-facing:

• Place your vehicle on a flat surface.
• Recline the convertible car seat by pulling the latch provided at the front side of the car seat. Adjust the recline as per the requirement of your baby weight, height. Recline the car seat in a fixed position by matching the numbers provided on the base of the car seat.
• Now, place the Chicco Nextfit car seat on the vehicle seat in a manner where vehicle car seat buckles are not blocked.

Using latch straps:

• Open the latch connector storage compartments on either side.
• Pull the straps located in the compartments entirely.
• Slide the latch straps to the rear-facing openings.
• Now, insert the latch straps to the latch anchor bars located in the vehicle. Ensure you hear a click.
• Pull the strap marked “Pull 1st” for tightening and pull the strap marked “Pull 2nd” for securing the child restraint.

Using the lap-shoulder belt:

• Open the lock located to the side of the convertible car seat by lifting the handle upwards.
• Pass the lap-shoulder belt from the lock, child restraint to the other side of the convertible car seat.
• Fasten the lap-shoulder belt to the vehicle buckle.
• Now, close the lock by pressing the handle downwards.
• Check if the car seat is secure or not.

Forward-facing:

Using latch straps:

• Open the latch connector storage compartments on either side.
• Pull the straps located in the compartments entirely.
• Slide the latch straps to the openings of forward-facing.
• Now, insert the latch straps to the latch anchor bars located in the vehicle. Ensure you hear a click.
• Pull the strap marked “Pull 1st” for tightening and pull the strap marked “Pull 2nd” for securing the child restraint.

Using the lap-shoulder belt:

• Open the tether compartment located behind the convertible car seat.
• Remove the tether strap located in the compartment and close the compartment.
• Now, place the convertible car seat on the vehicle car seat and recline the seat to match the vehicle seat. Ensure vehicle buckles are not blocked.
• Lock the buckle by placing it behind the vehicle's rear seat.
• Pass the lap-shoulder belt from the opening located to the side of the convertible car seat, beneath the child restraint and another side of the car seat.
• Fasten the lap-shoulder belt to the vehicle buckle. Ensure you hear a click.
• Slide the lap-shoulder belt through the lock-off located to the side of the convertible car seat.
• Now, connect the tether strap to the anchor located in the vehicle with the support of the hook.
  Adjust the tether strap to tighten the convertible car seat.
• Next, adjust the shoulder straps as per your baby height.

Note:

Use the child restraint only if the baby meets the following criteria:
Weight: Must lie between five pounds to sixty-five pounds.
Height: Must not be less than forty-nine inches.
Newborn weight: Must lie between five pounds to eleven pounds.
